Terrascopædia Annual published January 2022

Terrascopædia Annual Cover

The Terrascopædia Annual was published in April 2022. Outside of the regular run of issues, this 7.5" square magazine included some of our favourite contemporary American artists paying their respects to one of our favourite 1970s British bands, Help Yourself. Each copy comes with a complimentary 45rpm record. Prana Crafter (with Hans Chew) chose to cover 'Your Eyes Are Looking Down' and Zachary Cale covered 'Paper Leaves'. Both songs are lifted from Help Yourself's first, self-titled LP, originally released in 1971 and were originally written by Malcolm Morley. The two artists then interviewed one another in an entertaining exchange which forms the text of the magazine itself. 130 copies were produced. Each copy is entirely hand made from cover to cover, typeset one letter at a time in rare 16pt Poliphilus type, and printed in full colour on a fully restored 1926 vintage, 10cwt Arab Foolscap Folio treadle press.
